Petsmart Helps You Recycle Ink Cartridges
My Granddaughter has gotten me started on something, I wanted to share with you readers. Recently we were in Petsmart shopping for a new collar for Chili Pepper, and the girls as they are often wont to do, picked up what looked like brochures. Sometimes I fuss at them for this, as I think they are just playing with paper without regard for the tree that was cut down to make that paper. They're too little to understand, and so sometimes I come off as a grumpy adult.
Well, this time they picked up little self-mailers. It turns out Petsmart has an ink cartridge recycling program that benefits animals. Every recycled ink cartridge nets them $2 for pet charities. It doesn't cost you a thing, and most of us who recycle find this particular item a little bit of a nuisance as the cartridges take awhile to accumulate, and in the meantime just take up good space. Turns out you can purchase reloaded cartridges also, for a good deal less than retail.
The free mailer, no postage required, held a surprising number of ink cartridges, and I want to applaud the efforts of Petsmart for making the time to a. help animals, and b. help clean up Mother Earth.--Ruth Mitchell

PetSmart no longer does this.I went into their store and the clerk told me, and I just visited PetSmart Charities website and they confirmed they had to stop doing this.
