Way to go Ildikó
"This work depicts a poor Roma girl in Transylvania (whom I photographed) and a girl from a bourgeois family photographed in a studio in the USA early 20th century. It is set against a background patterned like an Eastern European wall." 18"x24"
"I use two images of homes (one without and one with a fence) to refer to how some cultures isolate themselves. I also use two different languages (the words mean "border), one Hungarian and one Arabic. Not being able to communicate and understand another culture indicates different kind of borders." 24"x36"
